As the world strives to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, the Mentorship and Volunteerism Excellence Awards recognizes the pivotal role of mentorship and volunteerism in advancing inclusive human capital and societal development ensuring that no one is left behind.
We are thrilled to announce the opening of nominations for the 6th Mentorship and Volunteerism Excellence Awards. This year’s celebration being the 6th edition, affirms mentorship and volunteerism as the key in uniting individuals, fostering growth, and driving positive change, celebrating these efforts inspires a ripple effect of kindness, empathy, and collective progress.

This year’s theme, “Reimagining Mentorship and Volunteerism in the Digital Era, technology, transforming practices and connecting communities” highlights the transformative power of technology in connecting communities and driving positive change.
The National Mentoring Day, a platform positioned to spotlight the importance of mentoring in personal and career development, business and entrepreneurship, growth and sustainability among others, will be commemorated on for 18th of July each year, with the summit & awards climaxing the mentoring project in September.

The National Mentoring Day encourages individuals and organizations across the country to host events that promote volunteer mentoring. The set date, July 18, has been strategically chosen to honour and celebrate the values and legacy of Nelson Mandela, who is recognized as a trans-generational leader.

The celebration of the day will witness 3 major zonal events, 3 virtual events and basic school, secondary and tertiary mentoring projects. This will witness the students exposed to “Teen-preneurship” with resource persons facilitating on purpose driven lifestyle, time management, AI, STEM, volunteerism, planning, programing, business startup etc.

The zonal events are going to be executed in the following zones: Northern zone (Kumasi), Southern zone (Accra), and Western zone (Takoradi). Organizations and individuals are encouraged to undertake volunteer initiatives in recognition of the day.
